Matar Panner in my Microwave Safe Bowl

Cooking in Microwave is too easy, healthy and time saving. Same matar panner when prepared over flame needs a pressure cooker & a kadai( just kidding). And cooking with microwave makes life simpler with a single Microwave safe bowl. :)


Ingredients:
Panneer - 50 gms (cut into cubes)
Green Peas - 1 Cup
Onion - 2 medium
Tomatoes - 1 Large
Garlic - 5-6 cloves
Ginger - 1/2 inch piece
Green Cardamom - 2
Black Cardamom - 1
Cloves - 3
Black Pepper - 3
Cinnamon -1/2 inch Stick
Red Chilli Powder - 1 and 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Garam Masala - 1 tsp
Oil -2 tsp
Bay Leaf - 2 small
Water - 1/ 2 cup + 1 cup
Salt - as required


Procedure:
  1.  In a micro wave safe bowl put the chopped onions, tomatoes, ginger, garlic, black cardamom, green cardamom, cinnamon, black pepper, cloves and a pinch of salt with 1/2 cup water. Microwave it for 2 minutes.
  2. Take our ant let it cool for 10-15 minutes.
  3. Now bring it to paste with the help of blender.
  4. Take 2 tsp oil put the bay leaf and microwave it for 30 seconds.
  5. Now add the paste, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, salt and microwave it for 3 minutes.
  6. Put the shelled peas, 1 cup water and garam masala. Microwave it for 8 minutes. **
  7. Now add the paneer cubes and microwave it for another 5 minutes. And it's ready to serve with roti, naan, paranta etc...
** Depends how much time required to cook the peas.
